It's a lot of work to rebuild a relationship after a breakup, even more than building a relationship for the first time. You are no longer looking through rose-colored glasses, you know your partner and all his shortcomings, and most likely you are not ready to put up with many of them. But if you are ready, it's never too late to try again. I advise you to read about couples-back-together-breakup/, a lot of really useful things are described.
Yes, I went back, and more than once. Now I realize how stupid and naive I was. I wasted my time. And energy. No one needed it. If a person leaves, you should wish them happiness and close the door.
