Why do people take IQ tests? Is it entertainment or is it something serious? I think everyone wants to think they're very smart and is looking for proof of that

I think it's entertainment. But sometimes such tests are useful. For example, it happens when a person can't decide what abilities he has. Such tests can show what a person really knows and what to do. I know a great site with an IQ test https://iq-global-test.com/ which gives very accurate results.
